Hi, I'm Saxon-

a wife, mom, and photographer based in Gridley, CA with a heart for capturing real, meaningful moments. My journey into photography wasn’t straightforward, but looking back, I can see that storytelling through imagery has always been part of me.

As a child, I dreamed of being a photographer but dismissed it, thinking it was too competitive and technical. So, I let the dream sit quietly in the background—until life had other plans. When smartphones advanced, I found myself drawn to capturing everyday moments just for fun. Then I met my husband, a chef, and together we started a food blog. That’s where my journey truly began—learning light, composition, and the art of making something feel alive through an image.

From there, I dove deep. I took workshops, courses, and absorbed everything I could through research, hands-on practice, and learning from industry experts. I experimented with food photography, then product and influencer photography—our dog even became a pet influencer along the way!

But people kept asking me to photograph them. They saw something in my work that I hadn’t yet seen in myself. So, I gave it a try. And here I am today, wholeheartedly in love with storytelling through human connection.
